Splatoon 3 Amiibo Could Be Heading Our Way Soon

You’re already lining up for them, aren’t you?

It’s quite incredible to see how far Amiibo have come since they were first announced. Many forget that they were revealed during a Super Smash Bros Wii U/3DS trailer featuring Reggie Fils-Aime and the late Satoru Iwata. They had a “live-action fight” that led to them playing the game and Mr. Iwata suddenly pulled out an Amiibo of Mario for backup. Fast forward to now, and Amiibo are still hot items that come out for many of the biggest games on the Nintendo Switch. Fans are still wanting them too, and the upcoming Splatoon 3 Amiibo are getting ready to take the world by storm.

These Amiibo were announced a while back, and with the game now launched, fans are waiting for an announcement on when they will be released so that they can not just buy them, but scan them into the game to get whatever bonuses they’ll offer. The good news is that we might have that answer for you in terms of when they might finally come out because fans have found certified accounts that state that the Splatoon 3 Amiibo are all ready to release soon. One site even noted that typically, once a product is certified it takes around two months to release.

The final certification for the Amiibo was for the Smallfry Amiibo, and it was finished on August 29. So if the two-month scaling holds, that means that the Amiibo could arrive late next month or early in November. We’ll obviously have to wait and see what Nintendo says or does to announce the official release dates, but without a doubt, the three will be out before Thanksgiving because Nintendo loves to capitalize on the Black Friday sales. They make a killing each year during the major shopping period, especially during the Switch’s lifetime.

The three Amiibo for the game are an Octarian, an Inkling, and the Smallfry that you use in the story mode of the game. The inkling is even wielding one of the new weapons of the game for effect. There’s no word as of yet what they’re going to be offering in terms of in-game items after you scan them, but you know it’ll be something substantial. More than likely, it’ll be special custom gear that showcases that you were one of the lucky ones to get the Amiibo.

No doubt fans of Splatoon 3 will wish that they had that this weekend as a new Splatfest is going on. It’ll start tomorrow and then go all the way until Sunday. This will be the first true and full Splatfest and fans are already prepping for the event. No doubt when the Amiibo come out you’ll see a lot of use in the Splatfests that follow.
