It’s been an incredible year for the Nintendo Switch. Between Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus, there’s been no shortage of quality games to enjoy. But what if I told you that Nintendo was only getting started?
After a quiet August, things are picking back up for the Nintendo Switch. Headlining September’s release calendar for the Nintendo Switch is Splatoon 3 which arrives on September 9. Splatoon 3 is, of course, the third installment in Nintendo’s third-person shooter franchise. Online competitive multiplayer will once again be the main focus with Turf Wars adding a third team into the mix. We got our first taste of these Tricolor Turf Wars in the recent Splatfest demo.
Also arriving in September is Temtem, a Pokemon-like massive multiplayer online role-playing game. Temtem is clearly very largely inspired by Pokemon as the primary focus of the game is to explore the islands of the Airborne Archipelago and collect various creatures that you find.
For the sports aficionados out there, both NBA 2K23 and FIFA 23 are coming to the Switch next month on September 9 and September 30, respectively. Unfortunately, the FIFA 23 Switch version is the Legacy Edition which is basically last year’s version with updated rosters.
