Yesterday during Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show livestream, Bethesda’s Todd Howard made a brief appearance thanking Japanese fans for their support of series’ like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
Along with this message, he touched on Bethesda’s new space RPG, Starfield – sharing some exclusive news for this particular region. The game will be “fully translated and voiced in Japanese” and will officially be the company’s “largest translation effort” ever – with over 300 actors, and over 150,000 lines of dialogue.
As pointed out by many fans, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim had around 60,000 lines of dialogue and Fallout 4 had about 111,000 lines of dialogue – meaning Starfield is likely going to be quite a big game when it does land.
This is a big deal cause Fallout 4 had 111k voice lines and that was a huuuuuge game. https://t.co/Bhnuy0nqtH— The Starfield Countdown (@Starfield_Count) September 30, 2021
Starfield will launch exclusively on the Xbox Series X|S, PC and Game Pass next year on 11th November.
