During the recent Nintendo Direct broadcast, it was confirmed that Dying Light 2: Stay Human is coming to Nintendo Switch. Now anyone who has seen gameplay of the highly anticipated sequel is probably wondering how they managed to get this game to run properly on Nintendo’s hybrid console and the answer rests within the Cloud.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human will join a growing list of games that are coming to Nintendo Switch via the cloud. So far, the Switch has seen cloud versions of Control, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Hitman 3 and a couple other titles. A Nintendo Switch Cloud version of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has also been announced.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human will arrive on Nintendo Switch on February 4, 2022, which is when the game will release on other platforms as well following the delay.

I haven’t actually played any games on Nintendo Switch via the Cloud, but one of the big concerns — and not just with Dying Light 2 but with all Cloud versions of games — is high speed internet connection capable of streaming the game without lag. For many people who don’t live in locations with stable high speed internet, Cloud gaming is not quite where it needs to be. Many still prefer a native experience, even if it means sacrificing graphics.
If you do have stable, high speed internet, then perhaps this is a good alternative for you.
In addition to Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Cloud Version, Techland also announced that Dying Light Platinum Edition will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch on October 19, 2021. This includes the original first game plus the four major DLC expansions (The Following, Hellraid, the Bozak Horde and Cuisine & Cargo) and 17 skin bundles. Online multiplayer with up to four players is also included.

If you’re interested in playing Dying Light 2: Stay Human on Switch, then I highly recommend you play the first game first. Not only will it familiarize you with the premise of the game, but it’s just a solid game on its own as well.
