Geoff Keighley, producer of Summer Game Fest, has confirmed the first names of the list of companies that will be part of its summer celebration. Among them, we can find heavyweights such as PlayStation, Xbox, Capcom, Square Enix and Electronic Arts, among others. Their collaboration extends throughout the summer, i.e., they are not tied to the initial gala on June 9.
This year’s #SummerGameFest will feature events, activities and updates for fans from more than 30 partners, with more to be announced.

What can we expect from the confirmed companies? The truth is that there are several surprising names, such as Bloober Team. Some people thought that it would be the moment to unveil the project they are working on together with Konami. However, the Poles are also preparing the third installment of the Layers of Fear saga, scheduled for 2022.
Capcom, on the other hand, maintains a clear course towards Street Fighter 6. We know that they will present the new chapter of their fighting franchise this summer; it seems evident that the Summer Game Fest is the stage chosen by the company. Will there be more surprises on their part? The shadow of Resident Evil always flies over the company.
And continuing with companies from Japan, Bandai Namco is working on One Piece: Odyssey, the RPG in development by ILCA. In the 2021 edition, they were protagonists together with From Software when Keighley was in charge of sharing the first gameplay trailer of Elden Ring to the world. On the other hand, the anniversary of the Persona franchise may be a reason for Atlus to unveil news about the video game. The cards are on the table.

Summer Game Fest 2022 Calendar
As we can read on the celebration’s website, the State of Play on June 2 will be the event that will kick off the Summer Games Fest 2022. It will be somehow the prelude to the big party hosted by Geoff Keighley, which is expected on June 9 at 2:00 PM ET / 11:00 AM PT.
That weekend will be completed with other important events, especially on the Microsoft side. This year’s Xbox + Bethesda Games Showcase will take place on June 12 at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET. Two days earlier, on Friday, June 10, we will see both the Netflix Geeked Week: Gaming at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET and the Tribeca Games Spotlight at 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET.
