UK esports organisation Tenstar are continuing to make waves in Valorant esports with another impressive victory in the VCT Game Changers EMEA women’s tournament.
The French Tenstar Nova roster won the Series 2 grand final on the weekend, beating Oxygen Esports 3-2 in a thrilling reverse sweep, after coming back from two games down.
It was a close final, with Tenstar losing 13-10 and 13-11 on Bind and Icebox respectively, before winning 13-10, 13-8 and 13-6 on Split, Breeze and Ascent respectively. The final has been viewed almost 300,000 times on Twitch, up from Series 1’s 218,000 views.
The news comes after Tenstar Nova won the first VCT Game Changers EMEA final at the start of October 2021.
Tenstar Nova player LiriLia cited the team’s strong mental fortitude to come back and pull off the reverse sweep:
Tenstar CEO Carl Thomas Roderick said on the Tenstar website: “For me, this was a better win than the first one. This win was based on character. We had to graft hard and faced some huge challenges.
“I’m genuinely so proud of our team. People are comparing us to Cloud 9 in NA, and they should! Let’s see if we can go back to back to back.”
Other UK talent in the tournament included UK org Guild Esports, who made it to round four of the lower bracket and were knocked out by Tenstar Nova, who fell into the lower bracket after losing 2-1 to G2 Gozen – G2’s new women’s Valorant team.
Chat Banned, a team featuring UK players Jade and Sylva, were also knocked out in round four of the lower bracket, by Turkish side SuperMassive Blaze Female.

And UK organisation Rix.GG’s Lightning team fell in round three of the lower bracket to Guild X, 2-1.
Broadcast talent at VCT Game Changers EMEA Series 2 included host Yinsu Collins (UK), analysts RyanCentral (UK) and Jessgoat (Australia), and casters Kaquka (Spain) and Mitchman (Ireland).
