Ray-tracing too!
The Ascent on Xbox Game Pass for PC is missing both DLSS and ray-tracing, but developer Neon Giant has promised that the features are coming via a future update.
Players on Game Pass for PC have noticed that The Ascent is far superior on Windows PC via Steam.
“We are working with our partners on adressing [sic] this as soon as we can,” the developer wrote on Twitter in response to queries about missing DLSS and ray-tracing features in the Game Pass version. “Build processes are different for the two versions, not just a storefront swap.”
The Ascent only offers DLSS and ray-tracing on Windows PC via Steam, meaning those on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X also miss out.
Twitter user MrChrisBee also notes that the Xbox Game Pass for PC version takes “over twice as long to load a level as the Steam version,” which Neon Giant has acknowledged.
The Ascent is currently available on Windows PC via Steam and Windows 10, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
