17-Year-Old Arrested In UK Over Hacking Incident, Reportedly Tied To GTA 6 Leaks

Rockstar was the victim of possibly the worst leak in the gaming industry’s history earlier this month, with London City Police and the FBI searching for a culprit ever since. Today, London City Police announced that they’ve arrested a 17-year-old hacker who is allegedly connected to the GTA 6 leaks, according to a recent report. The suspect was arrested in Oxfordshire, England and is allegedly part of a hacker group called Lapus$.

Respawn Says Abuse Against Devs Has Increased

Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment has released a statement telling fans that abuse aimed at its developers has increased recently and explained that “the line between constructive feedback and the harassment” cannot continue to be crossed. It also told fans it has a zero-tolerance policy for threats made towards its staff, and will be taking appropriate steps to “ensure the health and safety” of the team.

MultiVersus Confirms Rick Is The Next Addition To The Roster

Onto the lighter stuff now, and MultiVersus has confirmed that Rick Sanchez from Rick & Morty will be the next character joining the roster. We didn’t get a release date for Rick, but the game’s director – Tony Huynh – tweeted from his personal Twitter account that the scientist will be added “very soon.” It’s possible that Rick may drop as early as next week, as Gizmo’s addition to MultiVersus came pretty soon after his initial reveal.

Ninja Theory Denies Using AI To Replace Voice Actors

We’ve got an update from a story featured in yesterday’s roundup now, as Ninja theory has denied using AI voice tech to replace human voice actors in its upcoming projects. Instead, Ninja Theory had clarified that it only uses the tech as “placeholder content” in the early stages of development, and explains it has no plans to stop using human voice actors who are the “heart” of their stories.

Sly Cooper Celebrates 20 Years With New Merch, Fans Ask For Sequels And Remakes

Finally, it was Sly Cooper’s 20th birthday today, but fans hoping for some kind of new game announcement were left wanting. Instead of the remake or new game that fans are craving, Sucker Punch and Sony instead revealed a new line of merch and some official artwork celebrating the occasion. Great for those that wanted a Sly Cooper plush or a pretty gross t-shirt, but definitely disappointed for those holding out for for the raccoon’s return.
