Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC Brings Back Keanu Reeves
It’s been a while now since CD Projekt Red announced that it’s working on an expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, but a short teaser trailer revealed during the publisher’s latest Night City Wire event has finally revealed the name. Launching in 2023, Phantom Liberty will see the return of both V and Johnny Silverhand, although the latter is a bit miffed at the former for pledging allegiance to the New United States of America. We got also got the reveal of a new Edgerunners-inspired braindance that’s now available and the promise of more updates to come.
God Of Ragnarok Gameplay Video Shows Off Svartelheim Level In 4K
It’s just a little over two months until we get to explore more of the nine realms with Kratos and Atreus, making our first look at the dwarven realm of Svartelheim all the more painful. In a new gameplay video uploaded by Game Informer, we get to see Kratos use new environmental hazards to his advantage, such as geysers and ceramic pots that go boom as well as the miriad of ways Atreus can be used to progress.
Ubisoft Forward Will Reportedly Reveal Several New Assassin’s Creed Games
Ubisoft is planning to officially reveal Assassin’s Creed Mirage at this week’s Ubisoft Forward showcase, but according to new reports that’s not all it has lined up. According to insiders Tom Henderson and Jason Schreier, Ubisoft is also planning to give us a look the first two “experiences” that will be a part of the live service hub title Assassin’s Creed Infinity. Reportedly codenamed Project Red and Project Hexe, these two new titles will take players to Japan and 16th Century Europe during the witch trials respectively.
Tencent Reportedly Makes €300 Million Investment In Ubisoft’s Controlling Company
Speaking of Ubisoft, it’s future has been called into question yet again as Tencent has made a €300 million investment into the publisher’s controlling company Guilletmot Bros. Tencent now own 49.9 percent of the company, meaning that it can now increase its stake in Ubisoft to 9.99 percent. However, Tencent has not been given any board seats or “operational veto rights,” and the company is not allowed to increase its stake for eight years, meaning a potential acquisition is off the table for now.
Mario Kart Tour Has Earned Nearly $300m For Nintendo
Finally, it was recently revealed that Nintendo is getting rid of Mario Kart Tour’s gacha mechanics, leading many to wonder how successful the game has actually been. Turns out, very, as Mario Kart Tour has made Nintendo almost $300 million since launch. Certainly nothing to sniff at, although that sum must be growing far too slowly nowadays for Nintendo to bother with the title any more.
