First announced at Tokyo Games Show 2022 Edengate: The Edge of Life has received a release date. Launching October 25th, Edengate: The Edge of Life follows biologist Mia Lorenson as she wakes up in an abandoned hospital and finds herself alone in the titular deserted city of Edengate.
Created at the height of the Coronavirus pandemic and amid global lockdowns, Edengate: The Edge of Life is developer/publisher HOOK’s “representation of the fear and isolation” felt by many during that time. HOOK, a subsidiary of Digital Bros, hired award-winning writer Matthew Seiji Burns and award-winning composer Laryssa Okada to create an immersive third-person adventure game about “finding hope in the face of devastation, and what connects us to the world.”
Edengate: The Edge of Life releases on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 25th, 2022.
