Subnautica is officially getting a PS5 release after being confirmed last year, but never mentioned by Unknown Worlds Entertainment themselves until now.
Revealed in a brand new trailer for its sequel today, the team confirmed at the end that those who own a digital or physical version of the original game will be able to upgrade for free. No release date was confirmed for this release, but we checked with the developer themselves and the original Subnautica will launch digitally and physically on May 14, 2021, with the free upgrade also available on the same day.
The best part is that the game was actually available as a part of Sony’s Play At Home scheme, so if you picked it up for free last month, you now will get the PS5 version for free.
