World War 2 shooter Hell Let Loose was given a 10-hour free trial on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S last week, and with players diving into it over the weekend, it seems the feedback has been largely positive thus far.
Over on the official Hell Let Loose Reddit, reports have been coming in from new fans who have expressed how much enjoyment they’ve been getting out of the game, with many stating that they’ve chosen to purchase it as a result.
“So, I’ve been playing the trial on two different console accounts and I am blown away by HLL. I’ve been dying for a realistic/mil-sim style game to come to console for years now, and HLL truly hits the spot.
Within only 10 hours of gameplay, I’ve enjoyed some of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Simply communicating in a squad of complete randomers to do huge flanks on the enemy is so satisfying. The player base for the most part are all on the same page too. I know to PC players, this is nothing new, but to a guy that’s dreamt of that experience in a console environment, I am in love. What a game.”
Despite the heavy praise, there’s been a little bit of criticism directed towards the “full queues” when searching for game (resulting in a lot of waiting), along with a few technical issues on both Xbox consoles.
Possibly the most common issue that has been brought up so far, however, is players not using their microphones in matches, which some are suggesting is pretty much essential if you want to get the most out of it.
That said, Hell Let Loose seems to be shaping up very well, with the full release set for this Tuesday, October 5. It’s available to pre-order now on the Microsoft Store for £34.99 / $39.99 with a pre-order bonus of an Iron Vanguard Pack.
“Fight in the most iconic battles of the Western Front, including Carentan, Omaha Beach and Foy and more. This is combat at a whole new scale…. with lumbering tanks dominating the battlefield, crucial supply chains fuelling the frontlines, you are a cog in the machine of colossal, combined arms warfare.
Hell Let Loose puts you in the chaos of war, complete with deep player-controlled vehicles, a dynamically evolving front line, and crucial unit-focused gameplay that commands the tide of battle.”
