Coatsink and Indie developer Over The Moon will release the Last Hero Of Nostalgia for PC and Xbox this October. In what the devs described as the Stanley Parable meets Dark Souls, this game will include the most unlikely heroes played in the like-minded title. You will see how the most unlikely character grew up in a video game. We tried this in PAX West, and it was great fun, as it isn’t just challenging, but it’s also epic. You can check out this trailer below as the game will roll on the two platforms October 19-22.

In a world celebrating videogame nostalgia, The Last Hero of Nostalgaia blends the complex system and dark aesthetics of its souls-like inspirations with a wicked tale written by a cynical narrator who jeers your attempts to save the world from a blight of pixelation at every turn. For tough and fair combat, engaging narrative mechanics rich in lore, and even an online co-op mode, The Last Hero Of Nostalgaia is based on the best of the games that inspired it and gave an innovative twist on the genre.
Nostalgia is the world of videogames, and it’s collapsing backwards into a mysterious pixelation. All is on hold. Even the memories of our proud and cherished video games are being lost. Now, with our fidelity disappearing, hope becomes clear to fight back. Being the most hideous pixelated hero ever to spawn in Nostalgaia, you have to battle the hungry warriors of the degenerating world, and eat the pigs and narrates of an oppressive narrator that despises his own existence.
