As the world is struggling to beat the COVID-19 pandemic, the gaming industry continues to suffer from logistic issues. Many important games have been delayed, while other projects have been downright canceled. Typically, March is a very busy month when it comes to game releases, but 2021 is a bit of an exception.
We don’t have any major releases in March, although we do have quite a few re-releases that might comfort many gamers. Anyway, here are some of the most important titles that should be out in March, although bear in mind that some may be delayed.
March kicks off with Maquette, an indie game coming to PC, PlayStation 4/5 on March 2, followed by 3 out of 10, a game that’s getting a re-release on a different platform, Nintendo Switch. Sir Lovelot is set for launch on March 3 on PC and all consoles, while Harvest Moon: One World is finally coming to Nintendo Switch.
The first important title that releases next month is Stronghold: Warlords, which launches on PC on March 9, the same day that Apex Legends drops on Nintendo Switch. Pascal’s Wager: Definitive Edition is scheduled to arrive on PC on March 12, alongside Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, which is getting an enhanced version on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and a release on Nintendo Switch.
Next in line, we have Mundaun and Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse launching on PC and launching for PC and all consoles on March 16. Two days later, on March 18, we have two game releases: Minute of Islands (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) and Neurodeck (PC, Nintendo Switch).
EA’s Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighbourville Complete Edition is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch on March 19, followed by Tunche (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) on March 23, and Tales from the Borderlands (Nintendo Switch) on March 24.
Dandy Ace launches on PC on March 25, whereas It Takes Two is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on March 26. Another important release set for next month is Monster Hunter Rise for Nintendo Switch, which will be out on March 26. On the same day, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 are coming to current generation consoles.
If you liked the Kingdom Hearts series, we can’t recommend enough Balan Wonderworld, which is set for release on March 26 on PC and all consoles. Speaking of Kingdom Hearts series, four games being ported to the PC, and they should be out on March 30: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind, and Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory.
March ends with two less important releases, but if you’re indie games, you’ll probably want to check out Evil Genius 2: World Domination (PC) and Narita Boy (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) on March 30.
Last but not least, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut is set to arrive on PC, PlayStation 4/5 in March, but the game doesn’t have an exact release date yet, so keep your eyes peeled for more on this one.
