Some parts of a console that is outside of Nintendo are usually limited to a few of the smallest efficiencies. The PlayStation 4 Pro was announced in 2016. Until now, fans are excited for the PS4 Pro that is the PlayStation 5. Although Sony hasn’t confirmed nor denied it exists, fans have never stopped making their own speculations. Even others have jumped on the theory bandwagon, with TCL expecting 2023-2024 release for the mid-cycle PS5 and XSX.
Sony is probably better off fixing the problem of the PS5 first before releasing an upgrade.
Having said that, it’s been a short while, a long time now, that kind of silence has been spread out.
A leaker claims that AAA studios have already completed mid-cycle upgrades of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. The name of the rumored console isn’t known; nevertheless, they may reveal an official reveal in the next two years.
Every year, the next phase of the project was an upgrade. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One X guaranteed it. There is no doubt that it’s necessary.
To take note that the games are still coming in between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One until 2024. Of course the changes are always changing from time to time. Before recently the game Gotham Knights, the game was supposed to be available on the PS4 and Xbox One. But, it’s still very fast.
Would it be nice if a “pro” upgrade to the Xbox Series S was on display?
The PS4 Pro was announced three years ago, but it happened at a peaceful time. Don’t forget the COVID-19 pandemic enabled pause for the best part of the two years onwards. Due to this, very few non-exclusive and first-party titles have recently been released and have been widely recognizable. Now, the console manufacturers are at a crossroads where they either have to give themselves and the rest of the industry more time to catch up with current-gen releases or accept that this generation won’t be as long as the previous ones, so they can focus on the future hardware.
Both decisions come with their own advantages and cons. We’re curious to find out whether that’s true or not.
The PS5 and Xbox Series S/X will certainly be huge with the next six months, and Ragnarok will be coming on November 9th, and Starfield and Redfall are going to follow early next year.
