The PlayStation Plus free games lineup for March 2021 features one of last year’s best games, plus one of the most enjoyable experiences on PS VR.
Sony continues to provide PlayStation Plus subscribers with reasons to be cheerful with another stunning lineup of games across PS5, PS4, and PS VR.
Headlining the list is one of our top games of 2020, the excellent Final Fantasy VII Remake. The game deserves acclaim for how it thoughtfully reimagines a classic and redefines the nature of what a video game remake can be. You may have seen that a free PS5 upgrade is arriving later this year. It’s worth noting that the PS Plus version will not be eligible for that upgrade.
Another excellent PS Plus game is Remnant: From the Ashes. This third-person shooter from Gunfire Games was a surprise and deserved breakout hit in 2019. It blends familiar combat mechanics with Souls-like influences to stunning effect. The game is best enjoyed in multiplayer with up to three friends.
PS5 owners also get to enjoy Maquette, the intriguing M.C. Escher-inspired first-person puzzle adventure from Graceful Decay. It’s also available to buy on PS4 via the PS Store.
Finally, we’re pleased to see PS VR return to the PS Plus lineup with the fun sci-fi shooter, Farpoint.
