The PS5 Is UK’s Best-Selling Console For A Second Month In A Row

Sony’s PS5 may be experiencing stock shortages some five months after its initial release, but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming the UK’s best-selling console for the second month in a row. Evidently, folk are managing to get their mitts on the system despite it not being readily available.

Last week it was reported that Sony‘s new powerhouse system had eclipsed the Dreamcast, PS Vita and Wii U in sales, and has now chalked up another month at the number one spot. According to GI.biz, this was the PS5’s second biggest month so far, which is pretty impressive considering the aforementioned stock shortages.

That’s not to say other consoles didn’t perform well either. Fresh stock for the Xbox Series X/S saw Microsoft’s next-generation duo given a sales boost, while the Nintendo Switch ended up in third place, which hasn’t happened literally in years.

In terms of PS5 software, Spider-Man: Miles Morales managed to claim fourth place in the UK Top 20, although it’s the only PS5-exclusive in the list.
