Mark Cerny, the Lead Designer of both the PS5 and PS4 has declared the SSD that he’s going with for his internal PS5 SSD slot after the slot finally become active with the latest PS5 beta update.
In a tweet, he said that he was going with the WD_Black SN850 with heatsink. This provides speeds of 7000MB/s nicely matching the PS5’s internal SSD. This is one of the more expensive options out of everything that is compatible, but it does provides great speeds and obviously is now what we know that the lead designer of the console is using.
