Visual novels, eh? Fast becoming as influential on the gaming scene as the humble walking simulator, the last couple of years have seen the genre flourish. In fact, there seems to be no let-up in the frequency that we’re seeing these tales arrive on the scene, with the intriguing prospect of Nowhere Girl being the latest.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5, Nowhere Girl comes to console via Penguin Pop Games, after being created by those at Trainwreck Studios.
This one tells of getting drunk with a biker-wizard as you’re woken by a ghostly spirit popping up alongside you in bed. Chained together, you’ll head through this visual tale, kicking, screaming and trying to work out what the hell is going on. You see, there’s only one way to free yourself and this spirit – by declaring your undying love.
As per any game of the genre, Nowhere Girl will offer up a plentiful amount of options in how the story unfolds.
With decisions to make, conversations to take in and a lovely little visual look helping keep you immersed from the initial throes to the very end, should you be a fan of what these bring, or are in the market for something that you can just kick back with, Nowhere Girl should suit.
