It emerged overnight that Guerrilla is working on a remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn for PS5, which will bring the game up to the standard of sequel Horizon Forbidden West, with improved lighting, animations, and textures. Many other websites have since corroborated the rumour, which also mentions a multiplayer spin-off in production for PS5 and PC.
However, there may be many more first-party leaks to follow. Gematsu claims there’s a document doing the rounds, which includes sensitive information on many of PlayStation Studios’ plans, including the aforementioned Horizon projects. “Gematsu was able to independently verify several titles listed in the document with multiple sources familiar with their development, including the Horizon titles,” it states.
Sony has been unprecedentedly secretive about its first-party slate, with only God of War Ragnarok, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Marvel’s Wolverine confirmed as upcoming projects. It’s going to be interesting to see just how much information seeps out of this top secret document, and whether it’ll successfully give us a better picture of what the platform holder has in the pipeline.
