“This Is Zelda, but Bro” – Twitch Star xQc Criticizes the Nintendo Switch Console’s Hardware Limitations

Nintendo recently hosted their showcase event Direct, revealing their upcoming games like Bayonetta 3, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. However, the Twitch star streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel didn’t like the game because of the Nintendo Switch console.

It’s been over five years since the Japanese multinational company came up with the Switch console. This Nintendo console was a revolution in the gaming community as it offered both hand-held and home console experiences. However, it might be time for Nintendo Switch to release an upgraded version.

xQc takes a dig at Nintendo Switch’s limitations

xQc recently reacted to the upcoming Nintendo video games revealed at the recent Direct event. However, the games failed to impress the Twitch superstar. He even compared The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s visuals to the famous action RPG game for mobile devices, Genshin Impact. He claimed even mobile devices have games capable of rivaling a Nintendo Switch.

The 26-year-old blamed the Switch’s limitations for the unimpressive visuals. But, he also praised the developers for trying their best to make these games appealing, despite the technological limitations. He said, “I know this is Zelda, but bro, it’s on an ancestral console, and it’s very limited technically because of the hardware, man.”

“It’s a tough market out here. But I’m saying I just hate to say it, but man, it’s just how it is, man.” xQc further continued, “Because it’s an ancestral device, the Switch it’s laggy, my brother.” Later, the Twitch superstar reacted to the much-awaited upcoming Switch game, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. But all he could say was, “The Pokemon looks like dog s**t.” He even claimed the game’s background looked like a JPEG image rather than a 3D model.

Nintendo Switch loses to PlayStation 5 in the UK

The Japanese giants have dominated video games recently with the Nintendo Switch, which became the most-selling console. However, there are reports about an increase in PlayStation 5 restocks in the United Kingdom. Those reports also suggested that PS5 has become the best-selling console in the UK.
