HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL
MONDAY
Central at Bishop McCort, 7:15
Notable: Tough road challenge for the Dragons against a McCort team that knocked off Penn Cambria.
Richland at Bishop Carroll, 7:30
Notable: Huskies make runs in the postseason every year because of the experience they get from games like this.
TUESDAY
Huntingdon at Tyrone, 7:30
Notable: Bearcats have some solid seniors and beat Hollidaysburg last week. Tyrone needs a win here after a tough week last week.
West Branch at Williamsburg, 7:30
Notable: West Branch isn’t having its best season, but the Warriors are always a tough team in the ICC North this time of the year.
WEDNESDAY
Carlisle at Altoona, 7:30
Notable: Mountain Lions topped Carlisle on the road earlier this year and need a win here to get back on track.
Penns Manor at Cambria Heights, 7:15
Notable: Highlanders have been hot but have not been playing the top teams in ther Heritage Conference. That stretch starts here.
Portage at Windber, 7:30
Notable: Ramblers were tough on Portage early in first matchup, but Mustangs pulled away. Will a road trip to Windber change things?
THURSDAY
Bellwood-Antis at Penns Valley, 7:30
Notable: Another non-conference matchup for Blue Devils with playoff implications for both teams in Class 3A.
Chestnut Ridge at Bishop Guilfoyle, 7:15
Notable: Marauders defeated Lions by 16 on the road, but Chestnut Ridge has the ability to beat anyone in the LHAC on a given night.
Penn Cambria at Central, 7:30
Notable: Possible LHAC playoff preview and also could be a District 6 Class 4A playoff or championship game preview.
United at Cambria Heights, 7:15
Notable: Highlanders get another top team in the Heritage Conference. United is in line for one of the top seeds in Class 2A.
FRIDAY
Altoona at Central Dauphin East, 6:30
Notable: First game against CD East was postponed, so Mountain Lions have yet to play this Mid-Penn foe. Teams seem evenly matched.
Williamsburg at Bellwood-Antis, 7:30
Notable: First matchup in Williamsburg ended with a Lambert Palmer putback with the score tied to lead Blue Pirates to a victory.
SATURDAY
Tyrone at Williamsport, 7:30
Notable: Teams played a thriller won by Tyrone in Tyrone last season. Now, Golden Eagles make the trek to the Millionaires’ home court.
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL
MONDAY
Bishop Guilfoyle at Richland, 7:15
Notable: Lady Marauders didn’t win either of their two tough games last week but played well in them. They will go for the season sweep against the Rams.
TUESDAY
Altoona at Cumberland Valley, 6:30
Notable: Lady Lions hung tough at home against one of the top Mid-Penn teams, but they will need more offense the second time around to get a win.
Portage at Windber, 7:15
Notable: Lady Mustangs won a close game in the first contest, and playing the Lady Ramblers on the road should be a good test.
Williamsburg at Bellwood-Antis, 6:30 (varsity only)
Notable: First of two meetings between the two best teams in the ICC North this season. B-A has yet to lose a conference game.
WEDNESDAY
Everett at Northern Bedford, 7:30
Notable: Close game at halftime turned into a blowout Everett win the first time. Lady Panthers will try to put a full game together on their home court.
Penn Cambria at Westmont Hilltop, 7:30
Notable: Teams enter the week at No. 3 and No. 4 in the District 6 Class 3A playoff rankings, so a win here could help the victor avoid Forest Hills until the final.
THURSDAY
Bellwood-Antis at Williamsburg, 7:30 (varsity only)
Notable: Second meeting in two days could have major impact on both 2A playoff rankings (for B-A) and 1A rankings for Lady Pirates.
FRIDAY
Bishop Guilfoyle at Chestnut Ridge, 7:15
Notable: Lady Lions beat Lady Marauders at Pleasant Valley Gymnasium, so this would be a nice win for BG if it can pull it off on the road.
Williamsburg at Northern Bedford, 7:30 (varsity only)
Notable: Lady Panthers beat Williamsburg in the Lady Pirates’ holiday tournament, but Williamsburg has been playing better lately.
SATURDAY
Bellwood-Antis at Bishop McCort, 2:45
Notable: Big step up in competition for Lady Blue Devils, who have battled Lady Crushers for District 6 titles over the past decade.
