Ti10 SEA and NA Qualifiers Day 2 Match Analysis and Predictions

Two ongoing TI10 qualifiers have concluded their first day of opening matches. Coming into Day 2, we have some interesting odds to talk about. For the most part, our initial predictions were accurate. The favorites stomped their respective competition, but we can only expect matches to be chaotic from this point onwards because the high-profile teams collide on Day 2.

Here’s four key matches in Day 2 and Dota 2 betting markets to make your head spin.

TNC Predator vs BOOM Esports

Both teams successfully won their opening match, but it wasn’t exactly a one-sided victory for them. TNC Predator, the proclaimed best SEA team in the qualifiers, had a close series versus Team SMG. Looking at the decisive third match, if not for Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte’s Terrorblade turning team fights around, their opponent could have won with a Medusa late-game strategy.

BOOM Esports also had a rough match where they narrowly defeated the Execration’s Phantom Lancer. The match took much longer than BOOM had liked, and they must be counting their lucky stars for killing Phantom Lancer.

As both teams collide, it’s likely that TNC Predator still has the advantage in various aspects. TNC Predator’s reliable meta play and execution is much more flawless and ironed out. Odds-wise, TNC Predator is in favor to win at x1.5 versus BOOM Esports at x2.51 odds. My prediction is that TNC win the series 2:1.

Fnatic vs OB Esports x Neon

In the second upper bracket series, Fnatic face OB.Neon as their next opponent. Despite Fnatic’s reputation as a massive powerhouse, they have yet to prove their strength in the grand scheme of Dota Pro Circuit 2021 (DPC 2021).

Meanwhile, OB.Neon had some glory back in the Singapore Major 2021. This will undoubtedly be an exciting series to watch as both teams look forward to their redemption arc. Nevertheless, it seems like OB.Neon has the upper hand in when looking at the odds. I will go against the grain and predict a Fnatic victory here.
