Three of the Assassin’s Creed games being added to PS Plus as part of this month’s PS Plus Extra update will not be playable on PS5. Sony clarified in its PS Blog post that Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will only be available on PS4 – presumably due to issues with PS5 backwards compatibility.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate specifically is one of the very few high profile PS4 games with significant bugs on PS5. While the London-based adventure is ultimately playable, there are enormous graphical glitches which undermine the entire experience. Earlier this year, Ubisoft Support said it was working on an update for the open world game, but we now notice that message has since been deleted.
It’s something to keep in mind then before you dig into the latest selection of All PS Plus Games. Will you be digging out your old console to revisit these titles, or will you just be overlooking them considering their lack of compatibility with the PS5?
