Krome Studios confirmed Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 4 will return to the Nintendo Switch. In recent years, the boomerang-throwing marsupial mascot has received good remasters of previous Ty games, and soon they can put on a fourth main game under the new name Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 4: Bush Rescue Returns.
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 4 has gained his reputation in the series because of several key reasons. In 2015, a decade after the first of Ty 3, the series eschews 3D gameplay that the series has re-imagines as much as the Game Boy Advance version. The original game was completely open in the PC version – it was not the first to come out for consoles but still would be something like the remaster.
According to Kromes announcement, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 4: Bush Rescue Returns allows players to run, jump and explode across 40 levels set in a fantasy Australian outback. When they play, they’ll unlock 11 different types of boomerangs and collect over 20 unique skins for Ty and his friends from the Bush Rescue team. There will be different types of options to choose from – Adventure, Time Attack, Turkey Chase, Dangerous Arena.
Bush Rescue Returns will add some new features to the base game, including English voice acting, remastered scenes, a mix of remastered and new music tracks, and in-game text options in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese. All of this gives new fans something new and is also helping make Ty 4 more accessible to more players than ever before.
Bush Rescue Returns looks like a Nintendo Switch-exclusive for now, but since last time the two remasters got multiplatform rumors, it’s possible that Ty 4 will get the same mode. There’s no word on the date where the remaster will begin, but Krome said fans will have a chance to be involved. They added theyll share details on what it means by the end of the year.
The announcement of the new Ty 4 remaster comes out as it marks the twentyth anniversary of the original Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. After the new update of the old games continue, many fans are excited to release the new part of the game. The creator of the franchise has stated that releasing Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 5 is a possibility, although it would require a much larger budget than before. Whether that is or not, it’s safe to say that the results of Bush Rescue Returns should help Krome evaluate the feasibility of making a new game.
