Ultimate Survivor Edition released ahead of final expansion – Thumbsticks

Ark: Ultimate Survivor Edition is available now on console and PC. The game’s final expansion pack will be released later this week.

In anticipation of Wednesday’s release of Ark: Genesis Part 2, Studio Wildcard has released a new definitive collection of its popular sci-fi survival game.

Ark: Ultimate Survivor Edition includes the Ark: Survival Evolved base game, plus five expansions: Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, and Genesis Parts 1 and 2. The pack is priced at a very reasonable $59.99 and available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The final expansion, Genesis Part 2, is released on June 2 and designed as a narrative bridge between the current game and the recently announced sequel, Ark II. The add-on expands the game with new biomes, creatures, and story missions. It concludes with a final showdown between HLN-A and Sir Edmund Rockwell on a gigantic colony ship in deep space.

The expansion also introduces new voice talent to the series in the shape of acclaimed actors David Tennant and Madeleine Madden, both of whom will star in the forthcoming sequel.

Ark II was revealed at The Game Awards 2020 as a limited-time console exclusive on Xbox Series X|S. It also stars Hollywood actor Vin Diesel, who has also joined Studio Wildcard as executive producer and president of creative convergence.
