WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — The Upper Valley Nighthawks will kick off the home portion of this summer’s New England Collegiate Baseball League season in the first week of June, and it won’t cost a cent to attend.

The Nighthawks’ fifth NECBL campaign starts with a trip to the Keene Swamp Bats on June 4. All of the team’s Maxfield Sports Complex home games, beginning with a visit from the Winnipesaukee Muskrats on June 5, will be played free of an admission charge for fans.

“This is an exciting day for our organization and our community,” Nighthawks president Noah Crane said in a Friday news release. “We were hopeful about the prospect of a 2021 season and are both relieved and thrilled that we will be playing games and entertaining fans this season.”

The COVID-19 pandemic cancelled the 2020 campaign.

A record 14 teams make up the NECBL family this season. Visit www.uppervalleynighthawks.com to view the full schedule.
