Valorant Franchising – Key players missing from the franchisee list

Valorant has announced the 30 teams who will be a part of their Franchising teams in the new system. Earlier, Twitter went berserk trying to figure out which teams will make it. Reports of various teams not making the partnership lead to quite a few shockwaves as well within the industry. What seemed to be a few months away was announced yesterday and the process has already begun.

Some teams were shockers to many, and some confused the world. Within the APAC region, there were a lot of cheers from the Indian community of Valorant. This was so as Global Esports became the first Indian team to be a part of the league.

But this announcement also had a major ripple effect that could be seen mere minutes after the announcement was made. Nearly all the teams that didn’t get into the list started to disband. There was a lot of celebration from the teams who made it in but the ones who didn’t need to face the harsh reality. As such players from all around the world announced their free agency in the realm of Valorant. Thus leading to the biggest open market for talent and coaches for Franchised Teams all around the world.

While the likes of certain teams have stated that they will continue to grow and grind to the top. Others have to make the harsh decision to shut down or sell off to another Org. This announcement will be looked back on as the make-it-or-break-it period for Valorant worldwide.

All Teams that made it into VALORANT’s franchising?

The 10 teams for each region have been announced, and are as follows:

While this list has some spectacular teams who are a part of the current roaster. Each of the following teams from APAC has been a welcomed surprise. Due to the variety in the teams from this region, there is a lot of excitement within the community. Every fan in Asia wishes to now go to South Korea to be able to witness the upcoming champions tournament. A special mention would be to the nations of Singapore as well as India who have had quite an amazing show of gameplay in each of the qualifying tournaments. While being able to represent their country in such massive tournaments would fill anyone with pride and honour.

Within EMEA there was a surety in guessing which teams would make it into the league. The likes of Team Liquid and Fnatic would have been the first to name a few within the region. Though having a team by NAVI does change a lot as to who can be a part of their roaster from their CS GO team. The region which was a cause of massive debate was North America. While having a total of 5 teams from South America has been seen as overkill in the eyes of full. While the biggest shocker was that Optic didn’t make it into the Valorant Franchising League.

Which teams didn’t make it into VALORANT franchising?

As stated previously the major shocker was that OPTIC Gaming didn’t cut off. As a Valorant team, the organization was the finalist in the recent VCT Champions tournament. While previously won the VCT Masters as well this year. Optic at the same time has one of the best players in the game in Yay. It will be only a manner of time until we see this team consisting of some of the best players in the world disband.

This year, OpTic has emerged as one of the most reliable teams, finishing in the top three at every worldwide LAN they have participated in. They won Masters Reykjavik, came in third at Masters Copenhagen and finished second at Valorous Champions 2022 to cap off their successful campaign.

While the other team who didn’t make it while being one of the best teams in the world is FPX. After taking first place at Valorous Champions 2022 and finishing fourth at Masters Copenhagen, FPX established itself as a top-tier squad. They might have been among the best teams at Masters Reykjavik, it could be said.

As the top-seeded team from the EMEA area before the first Master’s competition of the year, FPX punched its ticket to Iceland. FPX was obliged to leave the competition, though, as a result of travel restrictions in Russia and Ukraine.
