WARREN — An Elm Road business reported being broken into twice within one week.
The owner of Vapor Express told police he found the front window of his business broken after receiving an alarm notification late Sunday night.
Surveillance video showed what appeared to be a young, thin man throwing a chunk of concrete into the front window, then kicking the glass until he could get through, according to a police report. The burglar crawled inside and broke into a display case using his knee, taking an Xbox game system and what the store owner said was an iPad computer.
Police were unable to locate the man.
Vapor Express, 1956 Elm Road NE, also was broken into the week before, along with nearby Mancan Staffing and Warren Nails 777, according to a police report from Thursday. That report lists the theft of $1,200 worth of Apple AirPods, $1,250 worth of Apple brand watches and $16,000 in iPhones from Vapor Express. Vapor Express, Mancan Staffing and Warren Nails are all in the same plaza.
It also estimates around $1,000 in damage to security systems, Spectrum company equipment and drywall at all three businesses.
