Weekend Warm Topic: What are your goals for Switch 2?

What do you want the Switch 2 to be? (pic: Nintendo)

The reader describes the things they hope and expect from the next console, including its games and technical features.

A writer asked Jericho for his idea of the topic for this week’s Hot Topic. There were some rumours that the next two swans could actually be used, so that there are more or less rumors about what games are being planned.

There was the almost clear consensus that upgrading the graphics to the PlayStation 4 standards and the quality improvement for the Joy-Cons were all the necessary. With the games, as well as the other hand, the first thing that was important was upgrading the graphics.

Price switchIm sure I won’t be the only one to say this. But as far as I know, a switch 2 is something that’s more powerful. A more reliable Joy-Con is the best way. I think it’s good that all peripherals can be backwards compatible or is it forward compatible? And I think that Joy-Cons aren’t needed for a redesign. There are several features that aren’t used too often, so maybe think about swapping them out for something more useful.

If you take advantage of the Nvidias DLSS software, you might expect that a new version would take advantage of the docked games at 1080p and then add a realistic 4K resolution to your TV.

I hope they don’t come out with new gimmicks for Switch 2, but then their gimmicks do a lot of fun, if short-lived. Maybe they’ll blow us away with a completely new console.

It will definitely be the biggest issue for me. You won’t be alone in this, but as prices expand, I won’t be able to splash the equivalent of a game console with a huge leap forward. For example, if a leap forward then well be seeing at 400+ and then a new console should be bought for that price when the cost of living continues to go up. If I’m smart, then they should use the current Switch even more.

Nintendo DeckI imagine I echo what many other people will say here, but only for the next Switch to be more powerful. The Steam Deck has replaced the Switch now for my indie games, but I’ll always be interested in whatever Nintendo offers, because of their exclusives, so I will not forget that it plays really well those Nintendo exclusives, so I’ll be willing to ask for to give them an independent copy of the original original album, as it could be, some time over, some frames and some screen tearing. It won’t happen every now and then, again, in the next 3D Mario, for example, the silky smooth experience would be nice.

Consequently, as far as I think, the Switch should be more practical than the original switch. With two other features I’d like an OLED screen as standard and improved build quality to avoid a more severe drift situation. Lastly, would be the ability to display 4K TV in order to turn up better online options rid the friend codes and put on a normal machine like every other console.

Perhaps controversially, but personally, I would like Nintendo to bring in a trophy-based system. I don’t have a trophy hunter, but I like playing games that I love.Angry_Kurt (Twitter) (I like playing.

Smooth transitionI think for the Switch 2 it’s easier for Nintendo to move back to the NES and then give us a new Super Switch, as we only change the current Switch instead of making huge changes. I want this to be the same type of factor and full backwards compatible with the current switch.

So much easier than massed magnets are a problem than potentiometers to stop the drift. For example, a good choice of the new-gen console should help a lack of memory, because it is a key for most of the squats for the new year. I’m very worried about burn-in still, so I prefer the new fast IPS panels rather than OLED.

Turn-wise, the chip appears to be in stone already from the leaks. It’d be expected to sit somewhere between the PlayStation 4 and PS4, though the important and yet unknown part will be where Nintendo sets the CPU/GPU clock speed. You want to clock them low enough for the same battery life as the current Switch I suspect (which really sits at the very best I would want from a portable device anyway) so I think a system would be slightly more powerful than an apple PlayStation 4. The device should let the loader rise a bit, so it’ll let the battery life improve when docked. That supposes that Capcom doesn’t need to prod Nintendo to use some decent amounts of RAM this time around!

The handheld PlayStation 4 is fine for power. I can easily play most switches, but at 60fps, I am very lucky. Anything above that is naive.

Nintendo doesn’t really have to respond to other handheld consoles as such. If their first party output is equal to the Switch, then that would be enough.Lord Darkstorm is going to be able to blow off the switch with Darkstorm.

Day two boughtAhh, my beloved Nintendo Switch. Since my Super Nintendo, I haven’t felt such a attachment to a device.

There’s something very special about it, particularly the freedom to play games co-op with only your console. I want it to continue. Smaller Joy-Cons with a wider attachment to the console itself.

Please, do we have the ability to take off from drifts? My Joy-Cons and my sons have returned to Nintendo three times over.

  • We got lots more games, please.
  • Battery life is improved.
  • A 10-80p screen with OLED.
  • A custom GPU that uses a hardwired upscale like DLSS by Nvidia.

If they release a new Switch for Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, then I will take both orders. We have a timer for the new Legend of Zelda game. The Breath of the Wild is a artwork. I really want to see how their foundations expand.

If there is something you can easily guarantee in game console, its ability to change and to perfection.

Predictable rotationI don’t want or expect Nintendo to digress a lot from the current Switch model for its successor. If I haven’t said recently, I think I’ll get complaints (and more broadly, those consequences) if its not as powerful as the standard PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. I think it will take awhile to come before the meeting. So it is necessary to ensure sufficient process, price, batteries and shape factor.

People would insist on 4K, whether native or upscaling, but Id rather focus on the console to deliver simple, reliable and affordable games if portable devices don’t use it.

I think they’ll be in a bit of trouble if they don’t make it backwards compatible – at least for digital purchases.

The Joy & Cons have been working very well for me so I would be happy with these being refined so that they are less liable to drift. In addition to the more high res screen, I don’t have much more than one to ask about.

I really want to get Nintendo’s first party team properly organized and get on the more ambitious stuff. It’s hard to tell if the way things were panned out on Switch is centered more on unanticipated first party setbacks than on a more competitive business model.

But, with the way they have been rewarded with such strong sales for games that often have come across as low effort projects, we can help the Nintendo to reach that new standard and, if we were lucky, release just a few really special first-party games that are exclusive to every generation.

I don’t think that it’s too unrealistic to set up the Switch 2, which would launch for 400 or less in mid-2024, with at least one killer application on the launch windows and a new big version that’ll run on the original Switch (just to tap into that huge market). Maybe Metroid Prime 4 and the next game of threeD Mario respectively (or vice versa).

I hope that after that they nixon the lead on for many years with some or two exciting titles, while the newest projects focus on the usual short rotation of 2D platformers, Japanese role-playing games, sports spin-offs and mini-game compilations. What a miracle!

I know that its not often broached in hot topics. But I would be interested in hearing what GC themselves would be interested in for this one.

Is it hardware? We’d accept that you will need more horsepower and refined JoyCons. Let’s assume that for all players, we agree, and want to tell you how much their current business was affected by the pandemic in a few years and how much was the plan in that time. (Nintendo has not made a farming smatter yet, those tyre are all third parties).

New featuresWith a tenth Nintendo Switch, I would like to see that Nintendo give us an impressive price tag and also give us some perks to buy a second Nintendo Switch. Nintendo can do that, by offering exclusive titles to the second switch, for example if they begin talks with Konami and find out if they can bring in some new games of its greatest name using a special edition. One of my favorite things is Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, which could be upgraded and made by the new Switch. The new Switch will need to offer new games that will show the power of the Switch 2, but also new titles from popular franchises, to ensure a wide selection of new games.

While a keyboard isn’t available for the console, then the controller, would be nice so you don’t constantly need to take control of the control sticks to type text and offer extra controls. For some PC games it’s hoped a new Switch will soon be called the new Switch that wasn’t possible. It would be a tremendous advantage that Sony and Microsoft offer their controllers by default.

Nintendo could also look for a built-in video camera on the console, which would be handy to have as new games could be created with the camera as well as as a communication device.

I don’t know if Nintendo would consider switching the switch as a portable console, and that is by adding a SIM card slot that allows people to use that as a mobile phone. But if they can change size to first switch, this would probably not be as good as a future situation.

Games before hardwareThe Switch 2 is a big change for a console, but rather a new and existing player that has the power to move money and gain confidence in the money. I’m not too interested in flashy controllers or clever uses, especially if its relatively inventive and third party developers can make creative uses out of them. Not just something that’s a gimmick and shameful oom for a near grave.

One thing I think would happen to be a lot more memory, and would also be a way to save at least fifteen minutes of great gameplay by yourself as a playback rider or postloading to YouTube or something. At the moment, it is really a tedious way. 30 seconds are a ridiculously small chunk of captured gameplay. A better Switch tier model allows gamers to like more from the Switch 2. The cheaper versions are for others who prefer a lower priced version.

Next generation games like Mario and Zelda are the ones that I’ll get in love with, and not the real console. Especially with no other switch now being seen. One thing, for sure, is that Nintendo won’t surprise you like that forever. Alucard is already interested in a burgeoning subject, but a short time away will tell you anything!
