The release date for when Madden 23 will come out has been confirmed along with all of the prices, pre-order bonuses, and how to get early access as well as the EA Play 10-hour trial.
This year’s instalment has covers adorned by the recently deceased legend, John Madden. It’s the first time he graces the cover since at least 2000. In addition, EA has published all of their player ratings with Davante Adams at the very top with an overall of 99.
New features aplenty have been promised for the game and it is set to launch next month.

When does Madden 23 come out?
The release date for when Madden 23 will come out is August 19th, meanwhile the early access and EA Play version will launch on August 16th.
It will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, with different versions between PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X/S. FieldSense is the big improvement for this year’s instalment, but it will only be available on current-gen consoles.
To make matters worse, FieldSense won’t be on the PC version either. This is because the PC version is restricted to the last-gen product which is similar to what EA does with FIFA.
How to get early access
You must buy the All Madden Edition for £89.99 to get the Madden 23 early access.
If you are subscribed to EA Play Pro on PC via Origin, you will get access to the All Madden Edition on August 16th at no added cost.
Below are the pre-order bonuses for Madden 23:
- Choice of 2 Elite Players (1 Offensive & 1 Defensive)
- All Madden Gear
- Madden Strategy Item
All of the above come with any edition you buy. The PS4, Xbox One, and PC version costs £59.99, meanwhile the PS5 and Series X/S is £69.99.
Below is everything exclusive to the All Madden bundle:
- Madden NFL 23 dual-gen entitlement – PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X/S
- All Madden Team Elite Player
- 3-Day Early Access
- 4600 Madden Points
- Choice of 2 Elite Players
- All Madden Gear
- Madden Strategy Item
Madden 23 EA Play 10-hour trial release date
The release date for the Madden 23 EA Play 10-hour trial is August 16th.
This is the same day as the early access version launches. If you’re not sure about buying this year’s instalment, the 10-hour trial will be the perfect way to sample all of the new features and additions.
An EA Play subscription costs £3.99 for one month or £19.99 every 12-months. You get an EA Play subscription for free if you have Xbox Game Pass on PC for £7.99 a month or an Ultimate membership on console at £10.99 a month.
Meanwhile, EA Play Pro is £14.99 a month or £99.99 per year. Unfortunately, Pro is only available on PC via Origin. This will give you full access to the All Madden version at no added cost.
