Third-person voxel-styled shooter Earth Defense Force: World Brothers will soon be available outside of Japan. The game’s publisher, D3publisher revealed the Earth Defense Force: World Brothers release date is May 27, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4 for Asia (including India), Europe, and North America. This follows the Japan launch of Earth Defense Force: World Brothers on December 24, 2020. What this also means is, this is the first time we will see the Earth Defense Force games hit the Nintendo Switch.
Aside from its voxel aesthetic, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers includes content from every main game in the long-running EDF series. These include weapons, historic soldier classes and enemies, in addition to brand-new ones for players to mix and match their teams of four.
Debuting on the PS2 in 2003, the EDF series has players defeating all sorts of gargantuan foes from insects to aliens with a huge arsenal of weapons and classes to choose from.
Does Earth Defense Force: World Brothers Have Cross-Platform Play?
While the game can be played in solo or coop with upto four players, there is no cross-platform play. However you can play it offline in splitscreen for two-players on PS4 as well as four-player LAN cooperative play on the Nintendo Switch as long as each player has their own copy of the game and well, a Nintendo Switch.
