A game that has been exclusive to PlayStation 5 for over a year has finally become available for Xbox Game Pass. While gamepass subscribers accustomed to the announcement that all titles from Xbox arrived on the subscription platform, one of the biggest releases of the year which Microsoft has been releasing was stranded on PS5 and PC since last September. Fortunately, since that exclusivity deal has already been signed up, the in question game can be adapted to Xbox and, by proxy, Game Pass.
As of today, Bethesda and Arkane Studios officially released Deathloop on Xbox X and Xbox Game Pass. Since many titles are accessible by Xbox One, Deathloop is not allowed to play via the Xbox One platform, rather it’s only accessible to Xbox One and Xbox S consoles. Since Deathloop was the PC version of last year, its subscribers can now test the game with a license on this platform.

Even though it is unclear how Deathloop is born and is coming to Xbox Game Pass now, it’s not the only case we’ve seen in this way. Tatsächlich, earlier this year, Bethesda released Ghostwire Tokyo exclusively on PS5. Much like Deathloop, this exclusiveity deal with PlayStation was put on before Bethesda was acquired by Xbox. For those on Game Pass, Ghostwire Tokyo should come to the service eventually, though it wouldn’t likely come until March 2023.
Do you plan to check out Deathloop now that the game is open for Xbox game-pass?
Alternatively, if you want to learn more about the game, please read the description below or read the official review here.
“Deathloop is a second-gen first-person shooter from Archane Lyon, the award-winning studio behind Dishonored. Indeathloop, the two rival assassins are caught in a mysterious timeloop on Blackreef, able to repeat the same day forever. As Colt, the only way to escape is to end the cycle by assassinating eight key targets before the day starts to reset. To learn from each cycle, explore new paths, gather intel, and find new abilities. Do what it takes to break the strand.”
