Meta Quest is about to get some Xbox Game Pass titles.
During the Connect keynote, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced a new partnership with Meta. The big news: Meta Quest players will soon be able to play select Xbox Game Pass titles.
Microsoft has expanded its reach with Xbox Game Pass thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming. The service is now available on PC, Android, iPhone, iPad, and select Samsung smart televisions for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Now it is coming to Meta Quest.
Meta Quest players will be able to play Xbox games like Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Deathloop, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Minecraft Dungeons, and more via Xbox Cloud Gaming. A reliable high-speed internet connection is required.
Neowin reports:
While details are currently slim, once the service is active, Quest users will be able to play Xbox Cloud Gaming’s hundreds of Xbox console games on a projected 2D screen while in VR. This is similar to a theatre experience that’s already possible in VR, but this one is specifically for playing streamed games. Users will require an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and an Xbox controller to use this feature.
Meta Quest – formerly known as Oculus – is the VR headset from Meta, the owner of Facebook.
