After the first set of additions to Xbox Game Pass alongside the recently announced games from the Tokyo Game Show, Xbox has revealed the rest of September’s lineup of content. This time ten games are heading to Xbox Game Pass, including Day One releases, a former PlayStation exclusive, and some great indie titles. Alongside the additions, look at what’s leaving the service and what extra benefits Xbox Game Pass members can get in the second half of September.
Here’s a rundown of all of the games coming to Xbox Game Pass:
The Second Half of September’s Xbox Game Pass Lineup
Deathloop (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X/S)
After almost a year of waiting, Deathloop is available now on Xbox Game Pass. It was announced at the Tokyo Game Show that Deathloop would be joining Xbox Game Pass. Deathloop is the tale of two assassins stuck in a time loop. You play as Colt, “Blackreef’s most wanted” who desires to break the loop. In order to do this, he’ll need to take out the eight visionaries…however long it takes.
With Deathloop finally coming to Xbox, Arkane Studios have also released a new update titled The Golden Loop. This new update brings new enemies, weapons and powers to experiment with alongside an extension to the core ending of Deathloop. The multiplayer of Colt vs Julianna gets a cross-platform update, now letting everyone on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S play together.
Hardspace: Shipbreaker (Cloud and Xbox Series X/S)
Previously only available on PC, Hardspace: Shipbreaker makes its way to Cloud and Console this month, plus it’s available now with Xbox Game Pass. Become a shipbreaker to pay off your debt to the Lynx Corporation, using cutting-edge salvaging tech to carve and slice derelict spaceships. Traverse through the challenging conditions in zero gravity to recover valuable materials in the wreckage. However, be wary using your tools, one false cut could trigger an explosive chain reaction that could be deadly or worse…costly!
Upgrade your gear to take on more lucrative contracts to help pay off the debt through a compelling campaign. Though if you feel like just cutting up giant spaceships with no restraints, give Freeplay a go. However, if you’re the opposite, Hardspace: Shipbreaker has numerous timed challenges to test your speed and accuracy.
Beacon Pines (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Dropping Day One on Xbox Game Pass is Beacon Pines, a cute and creepy storybook adventure game available now. Beacon Pines is set in a mysterious book where the player is both the reader of the book and its main character, Luka. While investigating the strange goings-on in Beacon Pines, you’ll collect special golden charms, each engraving a word. These charms can be used at certain turning points in the story to fill in a blank word and drastically change everything that follows.
As the book’s reader, you’ll navigate the story’s turning points using The Chronicle: an interactive story tree that branches and grows along with your choices. Exploring one set of events can unlock new charms to use on another branch, leading you to jump back and forth between entirely different versions of the story in order to unravel the mysteries at the heart of Beacon Pines. Take a look at what we thought about Beacon Pines in our review.
SpiderHeck (Console and PC)
