Xbox is giving fans a chance at winning a Deathloop-themed Xbox Series X along with a matching controller. Deathloop was developed by Arkane Lyon and it’s one of the highest-rated games of 2021. Deathloop was nominated for and won many awards at the end of the year, with praise given to its voice cast and the time-loop mechanic.
Microsoft has given away some custom-designed Xbox consoles this generation. As an example, fans got a chance to win a Minecraft-themed Xbox Serie S earlier this year and an Xbox Series X inspired by Battlefield 2042 in 2021. These giveaways are also not limited to games either, as Microsoft has allowed fans to win consoles designed around Ms. Marvel and Top Gun: Maverick. Now, Microsoft details how gamers can win a special Deathloop-themed Xbox Series X.
The official Xbox Twitter account confirms that users must retweet the given tweet containing “#DEATHLOOPsweepstakes” before September 28 to participate in the giveaway. The rules dictate that the retweet must be in the exact form of the original tweet to be eligible. On September 29, one user will get randomly selected and win the Deathloop-inspired custom Xbox Series X and controller. The rule sheet also mentions that the approximate retail value of the prizes is $499.99, the same price as a standard Xbox Series X console.
Fans should note that the giveaway is not eligible for customers living in a given list of countries and where such events are prohibited by law. Furthermore, the regulations clarify that users don’t need to buy anything to take part in the giveaway and a purchase will not increase someone’s chances of winning. They also mention that the grand prize will be shipped within approximately eight weeks following confirmation of the winner’s address.
In a surprising turn of events, a player won the Far Cry 6 Xbox Series X console bundle worth $4,288.98 but did not claim it in time. This bundle included a custom-designed Xbox Series X with a matching controller, a digital copy of Far Cry 6, a Samsung NEO QLED TV, and some other items. The user failed to respond to any of the emails and missed out on this special edition console as a result.
Fans interested in playing Deathloop should note that it’s now available on both PlayStation Plus Extra and Xbox Game Pass. Despite being developed by a Microsoft-owned studio, Deathloop was a PS5 console exclusive for a year, so it launches on Xbox Game Pass as a day one release.
Deathloop is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
