Microsoft is rolling out the Xbox September Update today, and there’s plenty of changes to look forward to.
The most significant improvement arriving in the update is a revamp of the game library. From the Full Library section, you can choose to view Owned Games, EA Play, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold, and Owned Apps. The biggest improvements comes in the All Games section, however, which will now show you all the games you own, as well as any games you have access to through your current subscriptions.
“Now it’s easier and faster to find all your games on your Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. The My games and apps Full library view has been redesigned to streamline access to all games you have access to install and play,” says Xbox’s Jonathan Hildebrandt.
Also arriving in the September Update is a slightly more niche feature, but a welcome one nonetheless – you’re now able to customise the Xbox button colour Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 controller. This includes the new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core, which also launches today.
Elsewhere, you can now select default installation locations for games and apps on both the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, which is ideal for those using external storage.
The party chat noise suppression feature that was announced for Xbox Series X|S earlier this month is also rolling out to Xbox One, while a new Start Party button in the Xbox app will make it easier to connect with friends and jump straight into a game.
You can check out the full update notes over on the Xbox Wire.
