You may finally be able to buy the Xbox Series X again in India. The console was unavailable through May, June, and July with a brief window of availability in early August (which we’re told were units returned from previous sales). Now, a listing on Amazon India suggests that an Xbox Series X restock date may be coming soon. While no exact date has been mentioned, it’s likely that Amazon has put this up in preparation of an inevitable restock as was the case with the PS5.

However it’s not that straightforward either. For its part, Microsoft does not comment on Xbox Series X restocks in India but multiple sources speaking to IGN India on condition of anonymity fearing retribution claim that Xbox Series X stock has landed in India a couple of weeks ago and it’s up to Microsoft to decide when to dole out these units to retail. It’s a perplexing state of affairs when you consider Sony’s regular PS5 restocks.
Perhaps this is a sign that the much anticipated Halo Infinite Xbox Series X would be delayed as well, going by how Microsoft has run its restocks of late. That’s out on November 15 worldwide but there’s no sign of an India date or pre-orders going live officially. Despite this, multiple retailers have taken cash upfront from unsuspecting buyers we’re told.
Where to Buy Xbox Series X in India (When Restocks Are Available)
The Xbox Series S and X have sold incredibly well in India in the last couple of months, with the Xbox Series S being the best-selling console in India in March and April. This is partly due to Sony’s own supply chain issues making the PS5 and PS4 unavailable.
