Amazingly, the Xbox Series X All Access deal is still available. If you’re ready to pony up $35 per month for the next two years, get it below, while you still can:
Xbox Series X All Access: $35 per month @ Walmart
For the record, I’m agnostic about this deal. It’s a surefire way to get an Xbox Series X, which is arguably worthwhile all by itself. It’s not a tremendous amount of money per month, and both the Xbox Series X and the two years of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are well worth their asking prices.
Still, something about buying a console through a credit company rather than a retailer just doesn’t sit right with me. If you’re absolutely positive that you can pay the full amount, every month, on time, it’s worth considering. Otherwise, just wait for a traditional console restock and buy the whole thing up front.
In any case, I don’t want to list the same deal three times in a row, so instead, I’ll close out the night with one of the cheapest Xbox Series X games deals I’ve seen this year.
Gears 5 is the latest entry in the popular Gears of War franchise. In this third-person shooter, you take control of Kait Diaz as she squares off against a variety of deadly foes. With precise shooting and impressive set pieces, Gears 5 is an excellent game on its own merits. It was also one of the first “Optimized for Xbox Series X/S” games, making it an ideal choice for current or future Xbox Series X owners. At $10, you don’t have much to lose.
Gears 5: was $39 now $9 @ GameStop
That’s the end of my blog shift for the night. If you’re trying to acquire an Xbox Series X, then I wish you good luck, and hope that Tom’s Guide can be of some assistance. If you already have one, I hope you’ve found some good deals on games and accessories through this live blog. Either way, happy holidays, and happy gaming!
While I’m hesitant to post the same deal twice, it’s been an hour and a half since Xbox Series X All Access came back in stock at Walmart — and it’s still there. If you want an Xbox Series X, you have the opportunity to get one right now. This probably won’t be your last chance before Christmas, but it may be your last chance that won’t involve a frantic scramble for a restock that disappears in less than a minute.
In case you missed the last post, Xbox All Access is a program that lets you buy an Xbox console via monthly installments, rather than paying for it all at once. An Xbox Series X costs $35 per month for 24 months. You also get two years’ worth of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which lets you download and stream hundreds of games on Xbox consoles, PC, Android and iOS.
In total, you’ll wind up paying $840 for the Xbox and the Game Pass subscription. That’s a lot of money — but to be fair, it’s $20 less than you’d pay for the two products separately. (The Xbox Series X costs $500; Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs $15 per month, or $360 for two years.)
Just be aware that you’ll have to take out a new line of credit with Citizens Pay if you want to join the All Access program. As long as you pay on time each month, that shouldn’t be a problem. But if you miss a payment, the company can exact all sorts of fees and interest from you, so make sure you set up some kind of system in advance. $840 for an Xbox Series X and two years of Game Pass is a good deal; anything more than that, and the math starts to break down.
Xbox Series X All Access: $35 per month @ Walmart
Good afternoon, readers. I’m Marshall Honorof, a senior editor at Tom’s Guide, back to highlight more Xbox Series X deals. Even now that Cyber Monday is over, some deals are still available — including an Xbox Series X restock, happening right now at Walmart.
I want to post this quickly, since Xbox Series X restocks tend to sell out within minutes, so please forgive the lack of detail. At present, Walmart is offering Xbox Series X consoles through the Xbox All Access plan. Rather than buying the console outright, it means you will open a new line of credit with Citizens Pay, then spend $35 per month for the next two years. That’s $840 total for an Xbox Series X ($500) and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription ($360), meaning you save $20 overall. It’s not much of a price break, but it’s a fair price on an excellent console and an excellent subscription service.
Just be sure to pay each installment on time. Citizens is probably counting on many buyers forgetting to do so, and the extra fees can add up pretty fast.
Xbox Series X All Access: $35 per month @ Walmart
Jurassic World Evolution 2 may be less than a month old, but it’s already received its first discount. Right now, Jurassic World Evolution 2 is $49 at Amazon. That’s a respectable $10 saving against its original price of $59.
If you never played the first one, the series offers you the chance to live out your Jurassic Park dreams and build your own theme park filled with prehistoric creatures. As you might expect, these animals can get loose and it’s then your job to wrangle them up before they wreck complete chaos on your meticulously crafted park.
This sequel to the brilliant original also sports an original story set after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as well as the chance to play through key moments from classic films in the franchise. Dino fans definitely will want to check this one out.
Jurassic World Evolution 2: was $59 now $49 @ Amazon
I’m definitely a big advocate for Riders Republic. I reviewed the game for Tom’s Guide last month and said: “Riders Republic’s combination of a massive open world that you can explore at will and strong gameplay variety is a compelling one. The career mode can become a tad repetitive as you progress deeper, but the game never punishes you for switching gears and doing something else when tedium creeps in.”
That’s an opinion, I very much stand by several weeks later. If you enjoyed extreme sports games back in the genre’s heyday then Riders Republic is a wonderful throwback that you definitely shouldn’t skip out on. Right now, Riders Republic is just $24 at Amazon. That’s $35 off its original price of $59. This deal is coming in and out of stock right now, so secure it now before it’s finished for good.
Riders Republic: was $59 now $24 @ Amazon
It’s still all quiet on the Xbox Series X restock front, although we are expecting to see some retailers take fresh orders of the Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edtion console in the near future. The next mainline entry in the Halo saga is scheduled to release on December 8, and it’s likely that Microsoft will want to ensure that retailers can also sell the snazzy Halo-themed machine alongside the game.
If you’re still after one of these limited edition consoles we advise keeping a close eye on our Xbox Series X restock hub as there’s a real possibility we’ll see drops over the next week or so. Below are some retailer links if you want to regularly check for stock (or you could leave all that hard work to us!).
Xbox Series X Halo Infinite console: $549 @ Amazon (check stock)
Xbox Series X Halo Infinite console: $549 @ Walmart (check stock)

There’s been a lot of talk about Cyberpunk 2077 lately. We all know about the game’s rocky launch, but over the last year the team at CD Projekt Red has worked hard to patch the game and it’s finally starting to resemble the high-quality action RPG we all thought we were getting in late 2020.
With a suped-up Xbox Series X version slated for the first quarter of 2022, now is the perfect time to score the Xbox One version for cheap (you get a free next-gen upgrade). In steps GameStop, right now you can score Cyberpunk 2077 for $19 at the gaming retailer.
I’d recommend buying now and then waiting to play next Spring when the native next-gen version launches. That’s what I’m doing.
Cyberpunk 2077: was $59 now $19 @ GameStop
And another game still on sales that’s well worth a look and can bring the Xbox Series X’s power to bear.
Critical acclaimed narrative-driven shooter Metro Exodus has been enhanced for the Xbox Series X in this Complete Edition. It also comes bundled with the game’s two meaty expansion packs.
Metro Exodus Complete Edition: was $39 now $31 @ Amazon
If you like your action games with a dose of the weird and a spoonful of impeccable architecture and retro interior design, then Control is well worth a look. And on the Xbox Series X, Control Ultimate Edition gets a boost in performance and graphics.
The Ultimate Edition also bundles together the base game with its two DLC expansions, “The Foundation” and “AWE”, for the complete Control experience. Play as a superpowered heroine on a mission to uncover the secrets of The Old House and her connection to the mysterious Federal Bureau of Control.
Control Ultimate Edition: was $39 now $18 @ Amazon
Okay, so it’s not a deal but I’d like to flag this nugget of news with you: a new Half-Life game could be in the works! But wait, there’s a catch: it’s not Half-Life 3 and will be an action meets real-time strategy game based in the Half-Life world and indeed to run on the Valve Steam Deck.
But as with a lot of things and given Microsoft’s seeming good relationship with Valve, it could end up making its way on to Xbox, if this rumor is indeed legitimate. And even if it doesn’t you can still play Half-Life 2, arguably still one of the best games ever, on your Xbox.
No hint of an Xbox Series X restock coming today, sadly. So you may have to consul yourself with some deals on Xbox games and accessories.
However, do check out our Xbox Series X restock page to keep track of potential stock drops and get some tips on how to secure Microsoft’s flagship console when it finally comes back in stock.
It’s weird to say it out aloud but Halo Infinite is just over a week away from launch. And you can of course pre-order it now, just bear in mind that it seems like only the standard version is available on Amazon; the steelbook edition appears to have sold out.
If you don’t fancy parting with some $59, then do bear in mind that Halo Infinite will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one; you’ll need to have a subscription setup for that though. You can also play the Halo Infinite multiplayer mode right now on Game Pass.
Halo Infinite: preorder for $59 @ Amazon
Good morning, managing editor Roland Moore-Colyer here. So Cyber Monday is over but the deals aren’t; we may be entering Cyber Week! As such, there are still plenty of discounts to recommend.
I actually splashed the sash on a new LG OLED TV that was cut down in price rather nicely. And I can’t wait to see how my news 55-inch LG C1 4K OLED will handle some of the best Xbox Series X games, once it gets delivered.
LG OLED55C1PUB 55″ 4K Smart OLED TV: now $1,319 @ Amazon
LG OLED48C1PUB 48″ Inch 4K Smart OLED TV: was $1,296 now $1,149
No Xbox Series X restock update since I started updating the liveblog. At the very least, we got some good game deals.
This next one is great for the whole family. Sonic Colors Ultimate is on sale for $13 at GameStop. That’s $26 off the full retail price. While it’s not the most beloved entry in the 3D Sonic universe, it’s still plenty loved by fans.
Also, the launch edition, which features a cute baby Sonic keychain, is available for $19.
Sonic Colors Ultimate: was $39 now $13 @ GameStop
Still no whiff of an Xbox Series X restock so far. But at least we have a stellar deal on Hades for Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles.
Right now, Hades is on sale at Amazon for $19. That’s a $10 savings off the normal retail price.
Hades is a Rougelike game that immediately caught the love of critics when it came out last year. It won a multitude of Game of the Year awards, and is a must-play for any gamer.
Hades: was $29 now $19 @ Amazon
We loved Mass Effect Legendary Edition, as evidenced in our review. This remaster took us back to the Mass Effect universe, and it still holds up incredibly well. Not only are the story and characters compelling, the gameplay is a great mix of shooting and RPG. The first game does take a bit of getting used to, but Mass Effect 2 is where the series gets its footing.
A must-buy for any Mass Effect fan, or anyone interested in the series.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition: was $59 now $24 @ GameStop
Hi, my name is Imad. I’m the news editor here at Tom’s Guide. I’ll be taking over Xbox updates for the next two hours.
We’re keeping an ear to the ground regarding any Xbox Series X restocks. We’re hoping for something this Cyber Monday afternoon, but there’s a decent chance that whatever restocks did happen are the end of it. But there are some general Xbox deals worth paying attention to.
If you’re a golf fan, or know someone who is, this is a great deal. Right now, PGA Tour 2K21 is on sale for $14 at Walmart. That’s $16 off the current retail price. And it runs on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
PGA Tour TK21: was $29 now $14 @ Walmart
All’s still quiet on the Xbox Series X restock front. Can I offer you a Pulse Red Xbox Series X Controller in this trying time? The most stylish Xbox controller you can buy is currently available for $54 on Amazon. That’s a $10 price break off its usual $64 price.
(Full disclosure: Red is my favorite color. Your mileage may vary on aesthetics, but all the other colors are either out of stock or still at full price right now.)
Even if you can’t find an Xbox Series X, this controller works just fine with Xbox One, PC, Mac, Android, iOS and select streaming devices. Consider it a small investment until you can procure the full system.
Xbox Series X Controller – Pulse Red: was $64 now $54 @ Amazon
That’s it for my time on the Xbox blog this afternoon. While the consoles themselves are still pretty scarce, there are plenty of deals on great games and accessories. Keep an eye on the restocks over the next month, and you may get lucky; if not, you can always try again in 2022.
Good afternoon, Xbox aficionados. I’m Marshall Honorof, senior editor at Tom’s Guide, and I’ll be looking after the Xbox Cyber Monday blog for the next hour.
First things first: If you came here hoping for an Xbox Series X restock, you’re out of luck. Walmart had the systems for a minuscule amount of time earlier today, but they’re long gone, and we haven’t seen anything else from other retailers since then.
In the meantime, though, you can actually still buy the Xbox Series S via GameStop. It’s not quite as powerful as the Series X, maxing out at 1440p resolution rather than 4K. It also lacks a disc drive, meaning you’ll need to play all of your games and media digitally. However, the Xbox Series S has two significant benefits over the Series X:
- It costs $300 rather than $500
- You can actually get one today. Right now, in fact
Whether you want to take the performance hit is up to you, but we don’t foresee Xbox Series X restocks getting much easier until sometime in 2022. If you think you (or a loved one) would be happy with a Series S, feel free to pick one up below:
Xbox Series S: $299 @ GameStop
Square Enix’s Guardians of the Galaxy was a surprise hit, seriously impressing us in our review. It’s a fun game with an excellent cast of characters that don’t feel like carbon copies of their film counterparts. The game lets them all shine on their own merit.
From the killer soundtrack to the varied gameplay and beautiful world design, Guardians of the Galaxy is a top-tier game for 2021. Amazon has a wicked good sale on the Xbox version right now, knocking the normally $59 game down to just $26. Beware, you might run into stock issues at this price, so grab it if you see it available.
Guardians of the Galaxy: was $59 now $26 @ Amazon
Call of Duty is an annual franchise and that has severely hampered it in the last several years. But 2021’s release, Vanguard, has seen some success. In our review, we praised the campaign and sound score, though the loadout customization is a bit lacking.
Brand new games don’t often go on sale so quickly after launch (unless they’re abject failures), so this $15 discount is nice to see. You can grab your copy directly from Amazon.
Call of Duty: Vanguard (Xbox Series X): was $69 now $54 @ Amazon
If you’ve had no luck with the Walmart Xbox Series X restock, then why not console yourself with the excellent Xbox Wireless Headset? It’s a great gaming headset that can be used with more than just the Xbox Series X.
And right now it’s on sale at GameStop for $88, and is well worth your consideration.
Microsoft Xbox Wireless Headset: was $99 now $88 @ GameStop
it looks like there’s still Xbox Series X stock available at Walmart, but, as we should stress again, it’s only available for Walmart Plus members.
TIP: Stay in queue even if it says “Sold Out” https://t.co/9Fh7InSL4JNovember 29, 2021
Are you having any luck with the Walmart restock? Dedicated stock trackers are suggesting you stay in a queue even if the webpage say it’s all sold out.
And we’re off, the Walmart Xbox Series X restock has dropped: If you’re a Walmart Plus member, grab the restock here.
Flagging another deal before the Xbox Series X restock drop: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is on sale at Amazon.
Arguably one of the best Assassin’s Creed games to date, Valhalla sees you step into the boots of a Viking warrior helping lead their clan on a pseudo siege and adventure of England. Explore a massive open world with more than a hundred hours of graphically sumptuous gaming.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: was $59 now $19 @ Amazon
So we’re some 40 minutes away from the Walmart Xbox Series X restock, so do make sure you’ve signed up to Walmart Plus.
You can even sign up on your phone, because it’s 2021.
Tracking down an Xbox Series X might be a pain. But there’s an argument that tracking down the more expensive and elusive Xbox is a better choice than making do with the more readily available Xbox Series S.
In fact, our very onw restock guru and staff writer Rory “Restock” Mellon reckons you shouldn’t buy an Xbox Series S. Some may not agree with that, and the opinion on the Tom’s Guide team is split. But nevertheless, we’re here for the Xbox Series X, and the Walmart restock is drawing nearer…
One of the best partners to an Xbox Series X is Xbox Game Pass. It’s one of the best bargains in the world of gaming, offering access to a huge library of new and old games for a monthly fee.
And GameStop has a three-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $24, which is a rather neat bargain. Ultimate not only works on the Xbox Series X and Xbox One, but also enables you to have access to a suite of PC games, as well as stream Xbox games to your smartphone.
3 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: was $44 not $24 @ GameStop
Right let’s talk about the Walmart PS5 restock scheduled for 12 p.m. ET. It’s important to note that priority access will be given to Walmart Plus members. This won’t be the first time the retailer has offered premium account holders first pass on stock either.
During previous paywalled Walmart restocks the console has sold out to Plus members and never reached general sale. It’s highly likely that will be the case today as well. If you’re not already signed up, you can get a Walmart Plus membership for $12.95 a month or $98 a year ahead of the restock beginning. There is a free 15-day trial of Walmart Plus available, but the retailer blocks all accounts on this trial from partaking in Xbox Series X restocks.
Walmart Plus: $12.95 a month @ Walmart
One of the few downsides to the Xbox Series X is that its 1TB SSD get filled up rather quickly given the size of the latest games. So that’s why we recommend you get a backup external drive for storing games that you don’t want to redownload, but you also don’t want to keep on your main SSD.
So the WD_Black 5TB P10 Game Drive is well worth a look, especially as Amazon has sliced the price to $119.
WD_Black 5TB P10 Game Drive: was $149 now $119 @ Amazon
In order to prep for the Xbox Series X restock at Walmart, and potentially beyond, we have some tips that are work a look so you can put yourself in with the best chance of snagging Microsoft’s flagship console.
These tips assembled by Rory Mellon are PS5-centric but they equally apply to the Xbox Series X as well. For example, a good tip is to make sure you budget for Xbox Series X bundles, as these tend not to be so appealing to scalpers due to their overall cost.
And as frustrating as it can be to find an Xbox Series X, we suggest you avoid buying a console from these scalpers. Paying massively over the odds for a console that doesn’t have a huge range of new Xbox Series X games isn’t a shrewd move in our opinion. If you can hold out, Microsoft should have more Xbox Series X units to ship, as well as the promise of more exclusive games for the console.
Sometimes boosting your gaming prowess can come from getting the right controller. And while it’s pricey, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 controller could be just the ticket.
With an enhanced D-pad, interchangeable thumbsticks and back paddles, as a 40-hour rechargeable battery, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is arguably a core purchase for any serious Xbox gamer. And now thanks to Walmart, you can get it for $157 rather then $179.
Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2: was $179 now $157
If you need a list of retailers to check for an Xbox Series X restock, the we’ve got you covered. While we’re only really expecting Walmart to have a stock drop today, but there’s still an outside chance that others could drop Microsoft’s flagship console.
So while we wait for the Xbox Series X restock, now is a good time to snag some killer deals on Xbox games.
There’s a whole range of them on the Microsoft’s Xbox store, with the likes for Far Cry 6 sliced to $40, Back 4 Blood down to $41, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla chopped to $23.
Xbox games: save up to 67% on the Xbox store
At the moment it’s all quiet on the Xbox Series X restock front. However, we expect things to build up pace as we approach the Walmart restock launch time, which will be in some five hours.
In the meantime, we suggest you check out some of the best Cyber Monday Xbox Series X deals, such at the deal on the Razer Kaira Pro, which got an Editor’s Choice seal in our review.
Razer Kaira Pro Wireless Headset: was $149 now $99 @ Amazon
