Trailer for upcoming Xbox Game ‘Forza Horizon 5’
Update: Amazon could drop later this week. Read on for more restock news
Launched at the tail end of 2020, the Xbox series X is still sold out across the UK. Supply chain issues stemming from the global shortage of microchip has left shoppers wondering where to buy Microsoft’s next-generation console.
The less powerful Xbox series S is easier to find, but the more advanced Xbox series X is in higher demand and sell out almost as soon as the new stock appears.
If you want to know where to buy an Xbox series X today, you’ve come to the right place. Our stock tracking liveblog will update you with the latest stock drops as soon as they happen, as well as any news on predicted restock dates and milestone events.

Can you buy the Xbox from Amazon France?
Let’s not bring politics into the civilised domain of the Xbox series X stock tracking liveblog, but one of the reasons it’s less appealing to purchase the Xbox series X from Ireland and most of mainland Europe is the big B-word.
When the Xbox is in stock on the French and German Amazon sites, you’ll have to pay import VAT, customs duty and handling fees to get it all the way to your doorstep in the UK. These extra charges can exceed £100 for an Xbox series X – meaning it could be cheaper to jump on the Eurostar to collect the console yourself.

Where is the Xbox series X in stock today?
Nowhere, to be perfectly honest. At least not right now.
Following yesterday’s thrilling restock at AO, we’re back to square one. But we’re poised to spot new Xbox series X stock popping up at Amazon very soon.
Besides a restock in France, and another in Germany, the retail giant hasn’t had the Xbox available in the UK since the end of July.

Yesterday’s AO drop proved once again that the Xbox series X appears without warning and sells out fast. So, we’d recommend staying tuned so we can alert you as soon as it drops.
Without further ado, we’re going on an Xbox hunt (we’re not scared)!

Your Xbox stock trackers are off
That’s it from us for today, and what a day it’s been!
We hinted that we thought AO would do a stock drop because it made a sneaky change on its website, and then, low and behold it restocked the Xbox series X this afternoon. “Which retailer will go next?” we hear you ask. Well, our sights are set on Amazon, but it’s all to play for.
We’ll be back bright and early tomorrow. Until then, good night!

Xbox series X ‘Halo Infinite’ edition
There’s a whole new Xbox series X we’re on the lookout for.
Announced last week, the Halo Infinite branded Xbox series X (£479.99, Game.co.uk) celebrates 20 years of Master Chief and boasts “a custom console design imprinted with stars as seen from the surface of Zeta Halo – extending onto the fan behind a blue vent inspired by Cortana”.
As always, we will alert you when it’s available to buy.

Over on our daily deal tracking liveblog we’ve got a team of highly trained bargain hunters scouring the internet for the best discounts on everything from robot hoovers and mattresses to iPads and Alexa speakers There’s something for everyone.
There are just two criteria these deals have to meet. They must offer a chunky discount, and we don’t recommend anything we wouldn’t buy, eat, drink or sleep on ourselves. Go take a look.

Xbox series X sells out at AO
Did you manage to get hold of one of the consoles while it was in stock at AO? We hope so!
The retailer did its first stock drop just before 2:30pm, but this sold out at lightning speed. And then, by some sort of hump day miracle, it did a second drop a 3:12pm, which lasted for 20 minutes, give or take.
While not the biggest drop, we’re certainly pleased that AO’s dry spell is now over. We had predicted a drop today too!

How to get the Xbox series X at AO now
This is not a drill: the Xbox series X (£539, Ao.com) is in stock right now at AO. It comes in a bundle with the Xbox wireless headset (£89.99, Argos.co.uk), which we, earlier today, noted for being ideal if you plan on using voice chat.
You’ll want to act fast – AO, let’s go!
