February is shaping up to be a big month for Xbox. The highlight for me is Dying Light 2 and Elden Ring, but there are several other games coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One next month that are worth keeping your eye on.
Life is Strange: Remastered Collection kicks things off. Dontnod’s critically acclaimed episodic graphic adventure has been remastered for modern consoles. When you return to Arcadia Bay, expect to experience this emotional story with remastered character and environmental visuals, improved animation, updated gameplay mechanics and puzzles, and overall engine and lighting upgrades.
Dying Light 2 Stay Home arrives on February 4. The sequel to Techland’s post-apocalyptic zombie survival promises over 500 hours of gameplay content and over five years of post-launch support. While our review is finished up and ready to go (waiting on the embargo), I will just say that you won’t be disappointed with this one.
Having just finished Returnal, I’m looking for another challenge and Elden Ring looks to fill that void. Directed by Souls’ legend Hidetaka Miyazaki, who collaborated with fantasy novelist George R.R. Martin, the world of Elden Ring is rife for exploration… and filled with challenges. Elden Ring shares many gameplay mechanics that Souls fans will find familiar, but improves upon them as well.
