Redfall is Arkane’s new co-op vampire hunting game that was due to be released in September of 2022 for Xbox and PC. However, due to delays, the release has been pushed back to the first half of 2023, according to a release date delay announcement by Bethesda on Twitter. But will Redfall also be coming to PS4 and PS5?
Redfall can be described as a mix of the multiplayer action of Back 4 Blood with the powers of Deathloop while still having its own unique features. It’s set to be an Xbox exclusive upon its release, launching on Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, and PC while also being immediately available on Xbox Game Pass.
Redfall is far along in its development cycle and will hopefully experience no more delays. PlayStation users are eager to know if they will get the chance to play the game, but the odds do not look good.

Redfall is an open world FPS in which players must protect the island town of Redfall, Massachusetts from the vampires that have overtaken it. You can opt to go at it alone or join up with three other players for a thrilling co-op experience.
The cinematic trailer revealed in Microsoft and Bethesda’s E3 2021 showcase introduces the characters of Redfall while setting the mood of the dark yet stunning world. Vampires have blocked out the sun and cut the island town off from the rest of the world, and it’s up to the main characters to keep the town safe.
There are four playable characters to choose from. There is a paranormal investigator, a character with telekinetic powers, an ex-military sharpshooter with supernatural precision, and a combat engineer who is accompanied by a robot companion.
The vampires are less like the ones of old lore and more like the aggressive zombies found in Left 4 Dead. There are also different enemy types, such as special vampires with powerful abilities and human cultists.
While Arkane typically releases fantastic single-player adventures, they deviated from the path to create something new.
Will Redfall Be Available on PlayStation?
Unfortunately for PlayStation users, Redfall is an Xbox exclusive, which means it will not be making its way to PS4 or PS5. Microsoft now owns Bethesda, so its games, like Starfield, are now all Xbox exclusives.
It’s true that Arkane’s Deathloop will be a timed PlayStation 5 exclusive for one year. However, this is due to the fact that the exclusivity deal was signed before Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda. Any games that do not have a prior contract, like Redfall, will be Xbox exclusives.
Some good news is that Redfall will launch on Xbox Game Pass as soon as it is released, making it super accessible for any fans that want to play it. The game will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, and PC.
